East Prairie School

Connelly Electric worked with Gilbane Building Company and STR Architects to construct a new 125,000 SF, Three Story Pre-K through 8th grade school, with the original school remaining open during construction.  Connelly Electic worked with the Gilbane Building Co. to coordinate safety, schedule, phasing and site logistics to help ensure no disruption to the existing campus and student transportation. The school features numerous collaborative areas outside of the classroom, “Learning Stairs” in the central commons area, and state of the art Audio Visual Systems throughout. 

Benefits Delivered: 

• By utilizing BIM coordination, we were able to prefabricate all in wall and above ceiling junction boxes and conduit racks for multiple systems. 
• Value Engineered light fixture package helping generate savings  
• ENR Midwest named East Prairie School District 73 Elementary School the Best Project for K-12 Education.
